BRAVE GIRLS & WISE WOMEN

Storytelling by Rose Arrowsmith DeCoux

Thursday, 8/15, 6:00 pm

at the Aurora Public Library

Join Rose Arrowsmith DeCoux for a storytelling adventure!  Hear how Tatterhood battles a band of trolls, Manka solves impossible riddles, and Vasalisa dares to knock at the witch’s door. Daring heroines reclaim fairytales as fierce, funny, and feminine. Geared toward children age 6+ and their families.
This program, sponsored by Arrowhead Library System, was funded in part with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, and by the Aurora Friends of the Library and the Aurora Public Library.

   Are you interested in participating

  in a new BOOK CLUB?

A new book club will be meeting at the Aurora Public Library!  This group will be structured a bit differently than many groups.  Rather than reading and discussing the same book, each person who comes is asked to talk about (and, if possible, bring) a book that you are currently reading or have recently read.  What is the book about?  Why did you like or dislike the book?  Where and when is it set?  What did you find interesting?  New members are always welcome! The next meeting will be:

August 22 , 5:00 pm

AUTUMN LANDSCAPE PAINTING

With the 3-2-1 Art Studio

Wednesday, Sept. 11, 1:00-2:30 pm

at the Aurora Public Library

Come try your hand (no experience or skills necessary!) at drawing and painting with teaching artist, Amy Lucas-Peroceski. Each participant will draw their landscape on a 11 x 14 canvas with the instructor and then paint their landscape with water-miscible oil paints in their choice of colors.

This program, sponsored by Arrowhead Library System, was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
