Thursday, March 22, 7:00 p.m. at the Aurora Public Library
The Creativity Tank
Studio, run by artist Staci Taylor, will work with children to tell their life
stories in clay totems while learning the theories behind these
sculptures.
Totem poles are
historically associated with the indigenous people of the Pacific Northwest
Coast. The meanings of totem poles vary
reflecting legends, family, or notable events.
The project provides great small muscle work and stimulates
the imagination. Children of any age can
engage in this project. Admission to the
event is free thanks to sponsorship by the Arrowhead Library System and funding
by money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
